Xpelair celebrates momentous sales

With UK manufacturing beginning in 1952, sales and production of Xpelair’s most iconic fan, the GX6, has gone from strength-to-strength, and while it has enjoyed continued popularity in the UK, the GX6 has also seen huge successes in the Middle East, Australia, South Africa and Hong Kong.

Lee Stones, category manager for Xpelair, commented: “This year marks a momentous year for the GX6 as the product is still going strong 65 years on. In the past two years alone, we have sold over four million fans in our territories across the world and with constant innovation it remains as popular as ever.

“The GX6 is now in its sixth generation and is one of our most iconic ranges due to its high performance capabilities. The fan has retained its rugged reliability and style, meaning it can perform a range of specialist tasks.”

Xpelair GX6 fans are purpose designed for use in domestic kitchens, utility rooms, larger bathrooms and small commercial applications such as offices. The GX6 range is suitable for direct ventilation to the outside and can be window or panel mounted, with optional kits for wall mounting available separately. With an integrated safety thermal overload protection and built-in silent action electro-thermal shutter cassette, the fans are operated by an on/off switch, pullcord or humidistat, depending on the model.

Conforming to Part F of the Building Regulations mechanical ventilation for kitchens, the fans are designed for easy cleaning and maintenance.

As well as the iconic GX6 model, Xpelair’s GX family of window fans also includes the GX9 and GX12, and its sister products include the PX, RX and WX variants.
