The key innovation that sets the VRV5 apart is Daikin's proprietary Shîrudo Technology, that removes the need for extra EN 378 toxicity leak detection. This simplifies the installation process, reducing complexity and costs while maintaining the safety standards through discreet, built-in features including alarm systems, invisible leak detection, and shut-off valves that ensure EN 378 compliance.

The Company held 299 patents for R-32 VRF that have subsequently been released to the public free of charge; and designed and built the first Mini-VRV in Europe in 2020, followed by the first full DX R-32 VRV Heat Recovery system in 2022.
