WAGO recruits building automation specialist

WAGO has appointed Steve Emberton as its first building automation manager.

He will use his 30 years of experience to boost the company’s presence and market share in the sector.

Mr Emberton held senior engineer, project and product manager roles at companies including Schneider Electric, Laing O’Rourke, Integrated BMS and BG Controls, during which he was exposed to WAGO products.

His specialist disciplines include building controls, energy monitoring, access control, CCTV and fire management.

He has recently worked on prestigious developments including 122 Leadenhall Street, otherwise known as the Cheesegrater, in London. As principal engineer, Emberton’s responsibilities included the creation of the building management system (BMS) including its description of operation, design of 200 BMS control panels, testing of third party interfaces, and writing of all BMS software and graphics. Other notable projects include Southmead Hospital Bristol, The Crick Medical Research Institute in London and the Victoria Centre in Nottingham.
