Top class boilers key to installers’ success in 2016

Encouragingly 72% of installers are anticipating more business growth in 2016, after 64% enjoyed better trading conditions in 2015 than they had seen in the previous 12 months. However, despite the anticipated upturn in business, 60% weren’t expecting increased competition in 2016.

According to a new survey by Ideal Boilers installers expect a hectic 2016, but believe top class boilers and technical support are key to their success.

The survey, the first of Ideal’s planned biannual installer business surveys, showed 82% of installers questioned pin-pointed reliable products as essential, while 72% demanded superb technical support. Longer warranties, training support and customer service were all identified as crucial.

More worryingly, 68% are bracing themselves for increased overheads, with increases in insurance, materials and the need to provide work place pensions, identified as potential problems.

When asked if they could change one thing about the heating industry 75% of installers said restricting sales of boilers and parts to Gas Safe registered heating engineers.

Head of marketing at Ideal Boilers, Carrie Young (pictured) said: “We understand first class boilers and technical support are essential to our customers, which is why we’ve invested heavily delivering them.”

She continued: “It’s great news so many are confident about 2016. All businesses have obstacles to overcome and Ideal Boilers will continue to help in any way we can by providing technical, customer service, training and marketing support to our installers.
