Specflue has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Mark Giacone as area sales manager for the Midlands and South Wales.

Mark Giacone, Specflue's new sales manager for the Midlands and South Wales.

Mr Giacone's role will entail account management and business development for the Sudbury-based company. He elaborated: 'I am now the primary point of contact for Specflue's various customers in the Midlands, South Wales and anybody else who may need me, and I look after the key accounts.

'I am really relishing the chance to get to know our customers well, serving them to the best of my ability and to developing the Specflue business wherever possible.'

Mr Giacone, who reports to Specflue commercial director Ian Sams, has a background in commercial sales in the IT industry, as well as in print, networking and construction software. More recently, he ran part of the Midlands operation for French car giant Peugeot.

He continued: 'Joining Specflue has given me a fantastic opportunity to work for a first-rate, independent organisation that is clearly a dynamic force in the heating sector. I look forward to building on the excellent work put in by my predecessor, Michael Bennet, by further boosting the sales and services offered by Specflue.'

Mr Sams added: 'It's great to welcome Mark on-board in a crucial role for the business. With his broad range of experience in sales, marketing and consultancy work, and his great enthusiasm and determination to succeed, he'll make a valuable addition to the Specflue team, which continues to go from strength to strength.'
