SIAS Building Services bought by heating firm

Energy Technique's decision to buy the building services maintenance division of SIAS Building Services has resulted in some jobs being saved at the m&e firm.
Energy Technique came to SIAS Building Services' rescue after the m&e contractor went into administration in early August, resulting in 136 job losses.

Deloitte, the firm's administrator has sold assets made up of the SIAS name, goodwill, particular maintenance contracts and related fixed assets. With a head office in Crewe, the SIAS maintenance division employs 28 staff offering heating, ventilation and air conditioning maintenance services to hotels and commercial buildings.

Energy Technique designs, manufactures, supplies and distributes heating and air conditioning solutions for retail and commercial applications. The company's operations include Diffusion Heating and Cooling based in West Molesey, Surrey, which manufactures and supplies fan coils and heating products to commercial buildings.

SIAS Building Services went into administration after it received several winding up orders, due partly to recent rapid growth and losses from contract issues which caused breaches in its banking facilities.

Where was the goverment to support the capital purchase of this company?

The government is very quick to support the banks that have created this whole mess. Why do they not support the roots of our industries - the employment of skilled workers, not to mention the revenues we have generated which are paid into the government.
