Energy management solutions provider Schneider Electric has acquired the assets and operations Viconics Electronics for an undisclosed sum in a bid to broaden its supply of power management equipment.
The company claimed the deal would make its supply of power management solutions more comprehensive and complete.
Michel Ramser, vice president, Offer Management for the Buildings Business of Schneider Electric, said: 'With the acquisition of Viconics, we've added a premier, easy-to-apply, energy-saving, retrofit product line to our portfolio. And for our new customers from Viconics as well as our existing customers, we look forward to leveraging a more complete range of energy management solutions.'
Louis Viglinio founder Viconics, added the acquisition would combine the experience and extensive knowledge of the two firms and their employees to boost the brand and its product lines.
Viconics, based in Quebec, claims to be an industry leader in electronic controls for building automation and energy management.
Schneider Electric provides solutions for different market segments in energy and infrastructure, industry, buildings and data centres.
