Ryan Air Conditioning, a leading UK supplier of air conditioning units and accessories based near Manchester, recently received a request from a film company for 10 sheets of 9mm thick and 10 sheets of 13mm thick Armaflex Duct Insulation Sheet.
The insulation sheets were needed for Sci-fi movie
All You Need Is Kill starring Tom Cruise (pictured) and Emily Blunt, which is due to be released in cinemas in March 2014.
Based on a Japanese science fiction novel of the same name by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, the film portrays a soldier's battle with aliens. Killed by the aliens, he finds himself caught in a time loop of his last day in the battle, becoming increasingly skilled along the way.
The duct insulation sheets are specially made to provide thermal insulation for air conditioning, warm air and extractor ducts used both internally and externally. In addition to insulating equipment, they also prevent any damage from external sources and are easy to handle and install.
The aluminium foil backed sheeting also complies with Building Regulations Part L, is suitable for rectangular and circular ductwork and no piercing of the ductwork is required.
