HVACR controls firm Resource Data Management (RDM) has acquired software developer Resorsys.
RDM's desire to build up its controls business with more building energy controls and monitoring solutions, has led to its purchase of Resorsys for an undisclosed sum.

Resorsys operates from India, has an international client base and has developed its own web-based energy management system. EMS provides remote and onsite energy management of buildings by monitoring trends in energy consumption.

RDM (based in Glasgow) will use Resorsys, accredited to ISO 9000:2000, to improve its own software programme, while continuing to offer a service to third-party clients.

Andy Chandler, managing director of RDM, said: 'We are delighted with the acquisition of Resorsys. We have worked with them for many years and they have contributed significantly to the development of RDM products.'

Chandler added: “The deal secures a high quality, cost-effective software development capability in addition to our own excellent in-house team. The acquisition will enable us to accelerate and expand our product range for the future – to deliver even greater control and cost savings for customers.”
