Plumbing and heating specialist Plumbase will sponsor Oxford United's away shirts while its sister organisation, builders merchant Buildbase will sponsor OUFC's home shirts.

'This is a good marketing opportunity for us,' said Plumbase managing director, Tom McElkerney, speaking about the decision to sponsor OUFC's away strip.

'The Plumbase name will be seen by all those watching Oxford United's away games where the change strip is worn. Our customers enjoy their football, as do many of our staff.

He added: 'Like our colleagues at Buildbase, we hope our support will give them an extra boost to gain promotion in the coming season. We're excited to be supporting a team on the up.'

Carbon reductions for northern arena

This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
