Air conditioning giant Panasonic is sponsoring the Sustainable Product of the Year category in the 2011 HVR Awards being held in London this October.
Paul Taylor, the company's UK sales manager, said: 'Panasonic is delighted to be sponsoring this category in the HVR Awards this year.
'This category is particularly apt as at Panasonic we are extremely conscious of our responsibility as a global company. We recognise our role in providing sustainable business solutions and sustainable practices - at work and for the home.
'This award recognises organisations that have identified new ecologically-friendly products or services and successfully brought them to market or adapted an existing product for a new market. It's bound to be a hotly contested category.'
The second annual HVR awards ceremony hosted by Heating and Ventilating Review takes place on 11th October, 2011 at the prestigious Millennium Hotel, London. The awards ceremony celebrates the outstanding achievements of those within the building services industry, honouring companies' technological achievements and service capabilities in seven awards categories.
As well as Sustainable Product of the Year, the awards include New Commercial or Industrial Heating Product; New Commercial or Industrial Ventilation Product; Air Conditioning Product; Contractor of the Year sponsored by Riello Burners; Consultant of the Year sponsored by Flakt Woods, and Sustainable Project of the Year sponsored by TROX Technik.
The Awards' lead sponsor is the HVCA.
