Following the success of its heating and cooling training centre, Panasonic is investing further for 2013, with new content, courses, participant feedback and more planned initiatives to help build product and technology awareness and promote energy-efficient living.
New developments for next year include training facilities for the ERP compliant split, the GHP heat recovery system, the High Temp 65degC A2W Monobloc and the Heat Recovery VRF. Available courses, which have been scheduled until March 2013, comprise Air-to-Water Products & Design, Air-to-Water Technical, Splits (PACi), VRF 1 or 2 and GHP 1 or 2 and servicing.
The PRO Academy, which first opened its doors to contractors, developers, installers and specifiers in September 2011 is based at Panasonic's headquarters in Bracknell. It has seen encouraging growth throughout 2012, with more than 300 delegates having attended courses and numbers continuing to rise each month. The hands-on training is supplemented by online education available to the company's PRO Club members.
Panasonic's UK & Ireland country manager, Marc Diaz, said: 'As manufacturers, we recognise the importance of investing in specialised training facilities for our products. Nowadays, it isn't enough to manufacture the technology. It is up to us to ensure that our products are installed and operated correctly for optimum performance and efficiency.'
In addition, Panasonic has spent some time gathering feedback from delegates. These comments are being taken on board and used to develop and improve the training with the introduction of new content, courses, CPD and MCS accreditations.
