The Homechoice association of manufacturers offering a 'one stop' service to housing developers for their heating requirements has embarked on a programme of expansion, forming alliances with affiliate organisations, updating its website and rebranding the organisation.
The organisation's latest member is Grundfos Pumps. Calvin Pope, Grundfos director of sales, said: 'Homechoice is well placed to provide a design and sourcing service, which is efficient and extremely cost effective. It enables smaller contractors or developers to tailor heating designs that are best suited for their requirements and at the same time ensures that they are getting the very best equipment which is not only energy efficient and affordable but also hassle free.'
Two organisations have become affiliate members of Homechoice: Cornerstone, a division of Wolseley, supports developers across the UK and is now offering the full Homechoice package.
The second affiliate member is Sustain, an organisation that helps developers to achieve SAP ratings and standards such as the Code of Sustainable Homes. If a developer needs help and information on how to achieve the various industry codes and standards, Homechoice is now able to offer that resource through Sustain.
Homechoice is also developing a list of nominated plumbing and heating sub contractors who Homechoice can recommend to developers for installing heating packages.
Homechoice's website (www.homechoice.info) has also been redeveloped to make it much more interactive and user friendly.
