New chief at ICS Cool Energy

 

Temperature control specialist, ICS Cool Energy, has appointed Simon West as its new group chief executive to oversee the company’s continued growth across the UK and Europe.

Simon brings over 20 years’ of industry knowledge to the role, most recently as group finance director at ICS Cool Energy, and will continue to work from the company’s headquarters in Totton, Southampton. Simon will be tasked with developing and implementing the company’s growth strategies, and working alongside the sales and operations teams to ensure group strategy is consistent and efficient.

Commenting on his new appointment, Simon said: “I am very excited about the new role and am looking forward to developing on the company’s success across both the UK and Europe. We have increased external sales resources by 15 percent across the group in the last 18 months, and to reach our ambitious 2016 growth target I will be looking to continue this investment. We will also look to better manage our resources and apply our strategy in a more consistent manner across the group.”

Phil Wilson, chairman of ICS Cool Energy, added: “The success of ICS Cool Energy has enabled us to invest in our core business and expand into new territories. I am delighted with Simon’s appointment and with over four years’ experience at ICS, I am confident he will help us to continue to identify new business opportunities and expand our customer base across the group.”
