New BREEAM director named

Dr Gavin Dunn has been appointed director of BRE's flagship brand, BREEAM.
The former Elmhurst energy group operations director replaces Richard Hardy, who was promoted to managing director of the organisation's global certification business last year.

Dr Dunn is aiming to drive more international growth for the BREEAM standard, which will benefit not only BRE but also the UK construction sector.

He has a PhD from Cardiff University in the energy performance of buildings, and is a fellow of the Association of Building Engineers.
