The National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies is looking for people committed to low carbon skills development to become its board directors.
Starting on 1 October 2011, each post involves a commitment of approximately nine days per year for board and committee work. As well an experience in environmental technologies or training, the National Skills Academy also encourages employers in the sector and those who are able to drive training and the development of products and services.
'We are looking for those who have a strategic vision to help direct the future of the Skills Academy,' said Cathryn Hickey, interim director. 'Our board members will represent employers across the BSE sector and their guidance will help to ensure the Academy's training and products are relevant to businesses.'
Posts are not remunerated but expenses will be reimbursed. Potential applicants need to complete a skills profile questionnaire available at
www.nsaet.org.uk/board. A briefing pack is also available online. For more information call Anthony Smith 01908 303972.
The deadline for applications is 31 August 2011.
