M+W Hargreaves makes four top level appointments

Engineering and ventilation solutions specialist M+W Hargreaves has made four senior appointments at director and management level, as the business looks to secure further growth across a number of sectors.

Left to right: Pete Williams, labour manager; Paul Rogers, quality manager; Julian Dorgan, regional director (North); and Aiden Smith, construction manager.

The new appointments include Julian Dorgan as regional director for the North and Pete Williams as labour manager; both positions have been created to support the company’s strategic objective to grow the business in key target markets.

Additional senior appointments include Paul Rogers as quality manager and Aiden Smith as construction manager.

As regional director, Mr Dorgan will develop M+W Hargreaves’ northern operations, managing a host of new contracts. With over 30 years’ experience working in the sector, he has a wealth of knowledge in the nuclear, oil, gas, and construction industries.

Mr Williams and Mr Smith have both been involved in the engineering industry for over 20 years and held positions at Crown House Technologies, one of the UK’s leading building and infrastructure technology services providers, working across a wide range of commercial and industrial sectors including some of the UK's most prestigious engineering contracts. The knowledge gained throughout their careers at a multi-national company is expected to support M+W Hargreaves in achieving ambitious growth targets.

Mr Williams is also a member of the BESA Council and has been involved with the setup of the Trailblazer apprenticeship schemes, which are now established in the industry. His dedication towards supporting apprentices complements M+W Hargreaves’ key strategic goal for developing young talent with multiple award-winning training and apprenticeship schemes, including its prestigious Engineering Young Talent Programme (EYTP).

Mr Rogers is an accomplished senior professional with more than 20 years’ experience in quality assurance, project management and business improvements in the automotive, manufacturing and construction industries. In his most recent role, he worked in the nuclear industry with Sellafield as a project quality manager. Mr Rogers’ main objective is to further enhance the company’s quality processes.

Andy Sneyd, managing director at M+W Hargreaves, said: “We would like to welcome the new appointments, all of whom join at an exciting time in the company’s history. Their expertise and knowledge I’m sure will be invaluable, and I look forward to working with them as we endeavour to examine growth opportunities in both the sectors we are currently involved with and new markets right across the globe.”
