Mitsubishi Electric team members qualify as BREEAM APs

Members of Mitsubishi Electric's dedicated specification team have been fully trained as BREEAM Accredited Professionals (AP).
General manager of the company's consulting division, Perry Jackson, said: 'BREEAM has fast become the absolute standard of environmental design for construction professionals and we wanted to be able to offer the best advice on projects involving our advanced systems.

'Having knowledge of how BREEAM fits into the design process helps us to ensure our customers can deliver buildings that meet and surpass certification requirements.'

Qualification as a BREEAM AP allows Mitsubishi Electric's specification team to provide expert advice on built environment sustainability, environmental design and environmental assessment.

The company's staff are now able to help design teams facilitate successful scheduling of activities, set priorities and negotiate the trade-offs required to achieve a target BREEAM rating when the design is formally assessed.

'We have always looked for ways to help our customers meet their responsibilities and this qualification allows our team to add real, tangible value to projects aiming for the highest BREEAM standards,' added Mr Jackson.
