Mansfield Pollard MD shortlisted for award

Mansfield Pollard’s managing director, Joanna Robinson, has been shortlisted in this year’s Forward Ladies Yorkshire Women in Business Awards.

Mansfield Pollard’s managing director, Joanna Robinson, has been shortlisted in this year’s Forward Ladies Yorkshire Women in Business Awards.

She became MD in early 2013 and quickly established a clear vision for the future of the business. She has built a culture based on customer focus, quality, integrity, innovation and fun and has led the company to success in the traditionally male-dominated engineering sector.

Joanna’s leadership has been characterised by her development of a clear strategy for the future development of the business and by her willingness to engage with others, encourage team development, invest in people, and take measured risks all of which have contributed to Mansfield Pollard's recent success.

The company now employs 160 staff and sales have increased by more than 30% in its last fiscal year alone. Major business wins have seen its products providing air management solutions in locations as diverse as Azerbaijan, Dubai and all over the UK.

Joanna will find out whether she has been given the prestigious Inspiring Leader of the Year award at a ceremony in Newcastle on the 29 September. The event, which is arranged by the networking organisation Forward Ladies, highlights the entrepreneurial individuals who have defied tough economic conditions to create thriving enterprises.

Joanna said: 'It was a wonderful surprise to have been shortlisted in the 2015 Forward Ladies award programme and I’m absolutely delighted that the work which my team and I are doing has gained this recognition.  I think it’s important to recognise the contributions which women make in leaderships roles and I congratulate all of the women who’ve been shortlisted in this year’s award programme.”

Mansfield Pollard produces an innovative range of high-quality products including air handling units, kitchen canopies, air conditioning systems and both vibration and acoustic management systems all of which deliver best in class performance and efficiency.
