Gilberts Blackpool, the UK air movement specialist, has honoured its technical product manager Alastair McGowan with a ceremony recognising his 25 years’ service.
Gilberts Blackpool, the UK air movement specialist, has honoured its technical product manager Alastair McGowan with a ceremony recognising his 25 years’ service.
“In this day and age, it is increasingly unusual to have members of staff stay, and grow with you, for decades. Our board of directors aims to provide a positive working environment that rewards talent and loyalty; Alastair’s long service attainment is the latest, and demonstrates we are a great company to work with, and for,” said Gilberts’ managing director Jonathan Haslam.
Alastair added: “The honesty and integrity of the people at Gilberts, from shop floor to the board, coupled with the ability to undertake a variety of roles and develop my skill base, have been major factors to my long service.”
Alastair, 49, from Fleetwood, first joined Gilberts as contracts engineer, moving to the company from Glasdon where he was drawing office supervisor. Since joining Gilberts, he has progressed through roles including projects/drawing office manager and projects department manager to his latest post as technical product manager.
