Kershaw wins TA contract

The Territorial Army has awarded the maintenance of 10 of its centres to Cambridge maintenance company Kershaw Mechanical Services for a further five years.
It has renewed its contract with the TA to maintain the mechanical services in the Eastern centres until 2015.
Kershaw Mechanical Services managing director Gary Smith said: 'The maintenance division of the company has grown in recent years, and contract renewals like these show why - our clients trust us and work in close partnership with us.'
The company has also been awarded the £200,000 contract to refurbish the mechanical services of Jesus College in Cambridge, a building built more than 500 years ago.
It must adhere to a number of special conditions, said sales director Ian Greenstock: 'For example we will not be able to do any welding on the site. None of this will be a huge problem for Kershaw, as we have our own off site pre-fabrication and ductwork manufacturing facilities based in Cambridge.'
Finally, Kershaw recently won a maintenance contract at a new school in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. The company installed the full mechanical and electrical services at the school in a £1.85m contract.
Kershaw Mechanical Services operates a 24-hour maintenance service from its bases in Cambridge and Stourbridge (West Midlands).
