Kershaw to maintain system it installed for council

M&E maintenance company Kershaw Mechanical Services has been contracted to maintain systems it fitted into a new council building.
Last year it installed the building services in Pathfinder House, the new headquarters for Huntingdon District Council.

Now the council has contracted KMS to maintain the systems installed under phase one of the project. It will also take responsibility for managing the maintenance in phase two, which it has just completed installing.

'We're delighted Huntingdon District Council has decided to trust Kershaw Mechanical Services with the maintenance of its building services,' said Gary Smith, managing director of Kershaw Mechanical Services.

The demolition and rebuilding of Pathfinder House was necessary after structural surveys found the walls were deteriorating.

New offices and a purpose-built customer services centre have been designed to provide better facilities for the public.

The original installation contract was worth £2million to KMS.
