The aircademy is dedicated to excellence and has recently been updated to showcase its latest ErP-compliant air conditioning and MCS-approved heating products, many of which have also been awarded ECA status.

All equipment is fully operational and is used extensively throughout the full day, product-specific training courses to enable in-house trainers to deliver practical and theory-based training featuring Set Free VRF and Utopia Splits, Samurai Chiller, RAC air conditioning, Yutaki heat pumps and the CS Net Web standalone control system.

Hitachi also runs a number of CPD-accredited courses, with all training provided free of charge.

Training manager, Paul Driver, said: 'What's key is that our training centre isn't just a showroom; all the products are ready for engineers to use and get to grips with. The aircademy features an extensive range of Hitachi air conditioning and heating products so our trainees can hear for themselves the low noise levels, feel the water temperature increases in our air source heat pumps and test simple multi-function controllers through to CS Net Web and BMS interfaces.'

Hitachi also has an aircademy in Dublin for its Irish customers and a smaller training centre in Glasgow for engineers and staff based in the north.

Officially launched as part of the recent SeeHitachi 2013 customer event, Hitachi's Maidenhead aircademy is running Set Free VRF and Utopia Splits training on 1 October, followed by Yutaki heat pumps on 8 October and Samurai Chillers on 15 October.

To book a place on any of the training courses, email aircon.training@hitachi-eu.com or call 01628 585 394.
