HETAS gets go ahead for MCS appliance approval
Bruce Allen, chief executive of HETAS, said “This is a huge step for HETAS, and means we are now accepting applications for appliance approval and can issue certificates for manufacturers.”

The government-backed MCS scheme will certificate both products and installers for renewable technologies including biomass, wind, solar thermal, heat pump and solar photovoltaic.

HETAS already operates an appliance approvals scheme with more than 400 appliances listed in the HETAS Guide.
