Ms Bray, who is director of stakeholder relations for Scotia Gas Networks (SGN), takes over as the new president with Geoff Egginton of Advance Appliances as vice president.
Mike Foster, chief executive of the Energy and Utilities Alliance, said: “Our outgoing president, Elaine Lancaster, has been at the helm of EUA for the last 12 months marking a shift in a sector that has, traditionally, lacked diversity.
“I would like to thank Elaine for her hard work, dedication and commitment over the last twelve months. Her enthusiasm, and extensive knowledge of the industry has provided EUA with a renewed focus and perspective, enabling us to further our work as the leading energy trade association.”
He added: “We are so pleased to welcome Helen to her new role after serving as vice president for the past 12 months, and I am also delighted to welcome Geoff into the EUA team. Geoff joins us from our Hot Water division (HWA), providing an additional dimension to our management team. Together they provide valuable industry experience, and I am sure the energy industry will benefit greatly from their expertise and passion.”
Ms Bray said: “I am delighted to be taking up the presidency at such an exciting time for the industry. By bringing together all the different elements of the supply chain I think the EUA provides a unique opportunity to drive change further and faster towards a low carbon future for the UK.”
