Heavy Steel Press is an economical alternative for installing thick-walled steel pipes. The specially designed sealing rings have a surface area three times larger than usual
Time savings of up to 60 % and less additional work compared to welding are excellent arguments for using the new press systems. They receive additional safety through a special design - the sealing ring has a 200 % larger surface than usual. This means that permanent tightness can be guaranteed without any problems even if there are any remaining surface imperfections (within the tolerance range of EN 10217 / EN 10255).
A grip ring and a spacer are located in front of the sealing ring. They protect the sealing ring when the fitting is pushed onto the pipe. During and after pressing, the grip ring provides additional stabilisation. The result: robust, long-lasting installations. The 'Heavy Steel Press' system with a black EPDM sealing ring can be used for closed heating and cooling systems, sprinkler systems and compressed air, among other things. 'Heavy Steel Press Gas' is equipped with a yellow HNBR sealing ring and is used for gases or heating oil, for example. Both are suitable for numerous applications in industry, commerce and residential construction or in power plant and local heating supply.
The catalogue currently includes dimensions from ½ to 2 inches for thick-walled pipes according to EN 10220 or 10255. The operating temperature ranges from -30 to +120 °C or 20 to +80 °C for the gas version.
