Green Energy Training Centre drives for growth
[firstParagraph]
A renewable energy training centre in the North West is launching a New Year drive to attract installers.
The Green Energy Training Centre (GETC) in the Wirral is taking bookings for training courses in heat pump and solar photovoltaic technologies, with all who complete the course able to apply for MCS certification - a fundamental requirement for anyone wishing to install renewable energy products.
The GETC's Donna Dainton said: 'By learning with the Green Energy Training Centre, you will be among the first in the UK to get the training needed to install microgeneration technologies, boosting your company profile and highlighting your long term commitment to renewable energies.'
The £280,000 GETC is a partnership between Wirral-based renewable energy products manufacturer Stiebel Eltron, North West training provider Scientiam, and the Skills Funding Agency. It is equipped with more than £60,000 worth of green energy technology.
Those who pass the course will be given a complimentary voucher to spend on Stiebel Eltron products.
