Fresh Aire Europe / Airvention ApS has been named the exclusive European distributor for Fresh Aire UV , a division of Triatomic Environmental, Jupiter, Fla, one of the world's leading manufacturers of ultraviolet (UV), gas phase carbon media air filtration and photocatalytic oxidation air purification products for HVAC systems.
Based in Silkeborg, Denmark, Fresh Aire Europe / Airvention's initial market penetration targets all 28 European Union (EU) members, plus Norway and Switzerland for 2016. Fresh-Aire UV offers UV equipment for preventing mould and other biological contaminants prevalent in HVAC and refrigeration systems used in healthcare, foodservice, industrial production, office facilities and other commercial buildings.
The company is currently developing a distribution network throughout the EU after recently receiving CE approval. Its first major trade show will be ChillVenta in October this year, in Nuremberg, Germany.
Ceo of Fresh Aire Europe / Airvention, Michael Stensbjerg, said: 'We see a wide open market for Fresh-Aire UV products because the European UV light disinfection market isn't as mature as North America. The UK is expected to be one of our most active markets.”
Fresh-Aire UV makes over 20 Certified Europe (CE)-approved products using UV-C wavelengths to disinfect microbial contaminants. The UV products are designed for disinfection of coils and interiors of HVAC systems, ductwork, room surfaces, and also odor removal from volatile organic compounds (VOC). Mr Stensbjerg sees the Commercial Series' Tubular Rack UV System (TRS) as one of the product line's most applicable models for the European market. The Tubular Rack UV System (TRS) is the industry's quickest and easiest commercial ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) system for HVAC units to install and is designed for hospitals, schools, office buildings and other facilities.
