One lucky football club will win a £100,000 makeover for its toilets as part of the Best Loo-sers competition.
Supporters can nominate their club on the dedicated website
www.bestloosers.co.uk for the next eight weeks, until 25 September. The competition will give clubs a chance to win from the Premier League, Football League or The Conference. Twelve clubs will be shortlisted by a panel of judges and will then be showcased in an online voting gallery to determine the winner.
Plumb Center who launched the Best Loo-sers competition has joined forces with leading companies, Cistermiser, Cubicle Systems, Twyford and Franke Sissons. These companies have considerable experience between them, and have delivered stadia fit for the 21 century; including Twickenham, the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and the b2net stadium in Chesterfield. Hygiene, water conservation plus adequate facilities for children and the disabled all feature in their work.
The competition aims to help improve the image of the game and provide safe and hygienic facilities so the whole family feels welcome, consigning out-of-date washrooms to history.
The winning club will also be invited to nominate a grass roots' team from their local community to receive a £1,000 washroom makeover.
Paul Bradshaw from Plumb Center said: 'Football is a national obsession and we are really excited about this competition and the difference it will make.
'Loos might not be your top priority when you're at a match but poor facilities can really spoil your day. How many times have you missed that all important goal because you're stuck in a queue? Modern, efficient loos are not only better for the environment but get you back to the match in double-quick time,' he added.
