Flogas acquires Metcalfe and Evans

LPG supplier Flogas has acquired specialist LPG firm, Metcalfe and Evans.
Flogas said the acquisition provided it with an in-house facility to undertake hazardous area electrical inspections, along with five and 10 year tests at its terminals. 'It also sees the improvement of Flogas' technical position and allows the LPG supplier to strengthen its offering in the commercial off-mains market,' the company added.
Henry Cubbon, managing director at Flogas, added: 'As Metcalfe and Evans is a very well regarded organisation both within the industry and amongst consumers, we will continue to operate the business under its existing brand name, and intend to expand the company over the coming months. General manager Peter Whittle will remain in place, along with the rest of the team, and we will shortly be undertaking a recruitment drive to help grow the business.'
