First female president for EUA

The Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA) has welcomed its first female president.

Elaine Lancaster of Groupe Atlantic's UK division has become president of the EUA, with Helen Bray of Scotia Gas Networks as vice president.

Mike Foster, chief executive of the EUA, said: “I would firstly like to thank our outgoing president, Andrew Keating, for all his hard work, dedication and commitment over the last twelve months. His enthusiasm and extensive knowledge have been at the heart of many of our successes this past year.”

He continued: “We are so pleased to have two very talented women from within the industry at the helm of EUA, marking a shift in a sector that has traditionally lacked diversity.

“We look forward to working with Elaine in her new role after serving as vice president for the past 12 months, and I am delighted to welcome Helen into the EUA team. Together, they provide a fresh perspective and valuable industry experience. The future of the energy industry will benefit greatly from their expertise and passion.”
