Expert Academy training hub to support installers

Ideal Heating has launched a new training platform to help installers provide the highest standards of service to customers that use a wide range of heating technologies.

Expert Academy courses and content will cover all the skills and knowledge needed to work with Ideal Heating’s domestic and commercial product ranges and will be rolled out across its sister brands; Keston by Ideal Heating, Hamworthy Heating and ACV, later this year.

While social distancing measures remain in place, the first wave of courses will be delivered in a digital environment with a choice of two formats – and in-person sessions will follow at a later date.

The Expert Academy on-demand service offers a range of interactive e-learning modules and assessments for installers to complete at their convenience, supported by handy video content, tips and guides – all of which is mobile-friendly to help with troubleshooting on the job. Anyone with a free Expert Academy account can log in and access the content they need, anytime, anywhere.

The virtual classroom option is also free to use; installers will be taught by a live trainer, again supported by a range of multimedia content to bring the sessions to life. Live courses will last between 1.5 and two hours, and an accreditation is available to those who successfully complete them all.

Tony Rossetti, head of technical training at Ideal Heating, commented: “It’s our responsibility to help upskill our loyal installers and future-proof their businesses – and in doing so, we’re future-proofing our own.

“We’re extremely proud of the Expert Academy and truly believe it’s the best installer learning and training platform out there. We’ve invested in the very latest technology to ensure that all of our live, virtual courses are as engaging as possible – and we’re looking forward to getting back to the classroom in-person at some point next year.

“Expert Academy will link to our Installer Connect loyalty platform, giving us more insight into who’s installing our products, their skillsets and what interests them. Our installers can include details of the courses they’ve taken in their profiles on our website, with a view to bringing in more business, and we can use this insight to tailor and adapt the way we work together now and in the future.”

Available to book now, there are two free live courses taking place per day, with maximum class sizes of 10-12. Visit https://expert-academy.co.uk/
