KSB Group's head of research, Sönke Brodersen, has been elected President of Europump for the next two years.
Dr Brodersen was elected by the General Assembly of the umbrella association of European pump manufacturers in Amsterdam.
Europump, the European Association of Pump Manufacturers, represents 18 National associations in 15 EU member states, Turkey, Russia and Switzerland. Europump members represent more than 450 companies which employ a total of 100,000 staff and generate a production volume of over €10 billion. The association is the key counsel to the European Commission in environmental and energy matters in relation to pump systems.
Dr Brodersen has represented the German pump industry within Europump since 2005, and has been head of research of the KSB Group since 2008.
