The European Building Automation and Controls Association (eu.bac) has elected a new board at its general assembly, which took place on 14 June.
Jean-Yves Blanc of Schneider Electric has been named president of the association. Meanwhile, Ernst Malcherek of Honeywell and Andrzej Krämer of Danfoss have been appointed vice presidents.
Mr Blanc highlighted some of the positive developments for the association over the past three years: 'eu.bac is becoming increasingly influential at EU level thanks to the creation of a new office in Brussels and an increasing number of activities organised at EU level. We also recently established a new sector group in the 'homes' area which has strengthened the legitimacy of the association in the field of automation and control technologies and increased the number of eu.bac's members from 13 to 22.
He concluded, 'While buildings are drawing more and more attention in Europe, I am convinced eu.bac is to become a voice which matters in the years to come'.
