Dimplex has played a key role in the production of a new air curtains guidebook.

The company worked with 10 other manufacturers and Eurovent, Europe’s industry association for indoor climate, process cooling and food cold chain technologies, to launch the first edition of the new Eurovent Air Curtains Guidebook.

The guidebook provides a hands-on toolbox for everyone dealing with air curtain technologies, including consultants, specifiers and engineers. It gives key information on how to correctly select, install, and maintain air curtains. In addition, it outlines the various air curtain technologies available on the market, plus their application and key benefits.

Dimplex with the other 10 manufacturers and laboratories from across Europe have been working in partnership with Eurovent to produce the guide and to develop a state-of-the-art testing and efficiency rating scheme, as well as an in-depth market study in cooperation with Eurovent Market Intelligence.

Commercial product manager at Dimplex, Phil Chilton, said: “As one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of air curtains we are proud to have played a part in creating this document, which will play a key role in the success of future air curtain installations.

“I believe there is still huge untapped potential for this proven technology, which can provide a quick-fix energy saving solution in commercial environments with a very appealing payback period.”

He added: “We are now looking forward to the results of the testing and efficiency rating scheme and hope to be able to apply this to our own products very soon.”

Chairman of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Curtains’, Mr Ola Wallander, said: “The new Eurovent Air Curtains Guidebook provides a hands-on reference for everyone dealing with air curtains. It enables appliers and users to make the most of their air curtain installations in order to profit from the many benefits state-of-the-art air curtains offer, including energy saving, improved indoor air quality, increased building performance, and enhanced safety.”
