Countdown begins to BCIA's annual conference, exhibition and awards

The Building Controls Industry Association's (BCIA) National Conference and Exhibition takes place on Thursday 9 May at St John's Hotel in Solihull.
Supported by B&ES, this year's conference will examine the challenges and opportunities of integration and will bring together experts from three key groups: contractors, clients and controls. Delegates will learn about the requirements of the Green Deal and RHI - and why delivering performance matters more than ever. Speakers will explain how integration can be taken from theory to practice, and how controls can be procured and used to gain the best paybacks from investment in low-carbon technologies.

A number of speakers are already confirmed for the conference, which will be introduced by BCIA president Ian Ellis and B&ES Sue Sharp will also address delegate. David Frise of B&ES will talk about integration - the value and the challenge; Debbie Hobbs of Legal & General Property will discuss energy efficiency in the property market; Mark Oliver of Wales & West Utilities will talk about developing a successful energy management strategy; Jacqueline Balian of Ofgem will speak about the RHI; and John Field, CIBSE vice-president will discuss 'getting renewables to work for you'.
