Cara McKever and Liam McCabe have joined the company’s Glasgow office, having both graduated from the University of Glasgow.
Ms McKever successfully completed a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. During her studies she was particularly interested in design and, before joining Colt, she spent two years with a fire engineering consultancy as a design engineer working on large, complex construction projects.
She said: “I am keen to develop my skills as an engineer and to continue to learn from the knowledge and experience of Colt’s leading experts in their field.”
Mr McCabe, meanwhile, secured a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics. He developed an interest in mechanical testing, as well as renewable energy and sustainable design.
Before coming to Colt, Mr McCabe worked in the financial services sector, which gave him valuable experience of a number of different companies at the forefront of innovation.
He explained: “It was innovation that drew me to Colt. A market leader with a strong history of innovative problem solving is a great place to start a career.”
