CIPHE member awarded MBE

CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering) member Terry Fillary, who is a Master Plumber and craftsman, has been awarded an MBE for services to historic building restoration and conservation.

Mr Fillary is a specialist in ornate leadwork and has worked on many prestigious restoration projects at notable sites such as: the Tower of London; Kensington Palace; Mansion House; Thames House, Millbank; and Crosby Hall, Chelsea.

He has been a member of CIPHE for 50 years and is a Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Plumbers (WCP).

Chief executive officer of the (CIPHE), Kevin Wellman, said: 'I am delighted that Terry's dedication to restoration and conservation of historic buildings has been recognised. He is a man who appreciates the beauty of leadwork and has always done his best to share his passion for the craft.'
