Carbon monoxide charity needs more supporters

Carbon Monoxide Awareness, the national charity which aims to boost awareness of carbon monoxide poisoning, is calling for more supporters to help raise funds.
The registered charity actively supports the victims of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning and has saved thousands of lives by ensuring people are aware of the dangers posed to them by a range of heating and cooking appliances.

The charity has tirelessly supported victims for seven years, but has now reached a vital crossroads: either more supporters join the team of volunteers to help run the organisation or the final curtain may fall later this year.

Help is needed in many areas, but crucially the charity needs supporters to raise much needed funds. This will enable it to continue to increase awareness of the 'silent killer' and reach out to victims.

In addition, the charity is looking for volunteers to help promote the seventh consecutive annual National Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week, which runs from 19 - 25 November. The team welcomes new ideas from all interested supporters.

If any individuals or community groups would like to raise funds for Carbon Monoxide Awareness, or get involved in promoting National Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week please contact the charity president, Lynn Griffiths on lynn@covictim.org to discuss ideas.

More information, including an Android carbon monoxide phone app, can be found on the website at www.covictim.org
