The Building Controls Show opens its doors for the fourth year running at Sandown Park this October with a number of new product launches set to take place on the show floor. Plans for yet another exciting and informative seminar programme are also underway, offering visitors free access to the industry's leading experts.
Members of the industry are invited to submit talk topics for the 2014 event by sending the organisers a brief synopsis and speaker biography for consideration by an expert panel. While it is hoped that CPD accredited seminars will feature heavily in the 2014 programme, papers that cover new technologies and provide business and legal updates will have equal prominence and inspire debate over the two days.
Last year's seminar programme was a real hit, with visitors queuing up to attend the variety of sessions covering all aspects of the industry. The programme focussed on the benefits that building controls can bring to any commercial building and the different products available to suit every application.
Sue Warmington from Sontay covered the topic of Wireless Temperature Sensing Systems, while Mark Warburton of Ivory Egg presented the equally well attended KNX UK CPD seminar. Other highlights included a review of BACnet by DEOS identifying its importance in the harmonisation of the controls industry and 'The Dawn of the Super Building' which was presented by Schneider Electric and looked at the way cloud computing is opening up the possibilities for buildings in a way that has never been seen before.

Industry unites in supports for the show
From Building management Systems (BMS) to wireless controls, energy management solutions and simple devices to help people take control of the environment, the Building Controls Show remains the only exhibition in the UK which is dedicated to the building controls industry and as such will provide a focussed event which showcases new product development and technical innovation.
With nearly seven months to go until the event goes live, the show is filling up fast with a number of key companies booking substantial exhibition space.
