BSRIA announces final speaker to join 2016 Briefing

BSRIA has revealed the final speaker in the line-up for its 2016 Briefing.

 

Matthew Webster, head of Wellbeing and Futureproofing at British Land, joins the other speakers. The event will look at the issue of performance and wellbeing beyond compliance and will be held at the Brewery, in London, on Friday 11 November 2016. The main sponsor is Trend.

 

Matthew is passionately committed to working towards a sustainable future, with proven ability to develop, lead and deliver projects. He believes innovation, new technologies and creative thinking are essential approaches to delivering sustainable outcomes.

 

He represents British Land at external working groups, including the Better Building Partnership and UK Green Building Council. He is taking a lead role in sharing and enthusing business with developing approach for 2020 strategy

 

BSRIA chief executive, Julia Evans, said: “We are delighted that Matthew has agreed to be a speaker at this prestigious event and completing the packed agenda. We know that he is an excellent speaker – and an expert of the field of wellbeing and futureproofing – with lots to say – so our members and audience will not be disappointed. Of course – there will be plenty of opportunity for ‘q&a’.”

 

The briefing takes place over one morning and is followed by a luncheon with a guest speaker. It is well-established in the industry calendar drawing a wide range of attendees from all sectors. 

 

Other speakers include: Rt Hon Lord (Paddy) Ashdown GCMG CH KBE PC, Nicola Gillen, European Practice Lead for Strategy Plus, AECOM; Professor Stephen Holgate, MRC Professor of Immunopharmacology at the University of Southampton; Ben Roberts, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Hoare Lea & Partners and Roderic Bunn, Building Performance Analyst, BSRIA. The Chair is Sarah Ratcliffe, Progamme Director, Better Buildings Partnership.
