Boiler maker Buderus to change name

Buderus, Bosch Group is to become Bosch Commercial & Industrial Heating, as the manufacturer looks to strengthen its industrial product and service offering in the UK heating and hot water sector.
Boiler maker Buderus to change name
Buderus, which has operated in the UK since its acquisition by Bosch Thermotechnology in 2005, will begin a transition to the Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating brand with immediate effect. The move will see the manufacturer's complete range of technologies given a new look and be gradually introduced under the Bosch name.

Bosch Commercial & Industrial Heating will continue to offer boiler outputs ranging from 65kW to 19.2MW.

Those customers who already have Buderus branded industrial boilers on site and are in the process of adding to the existing arrangement can still request boilers to match the existing products, thanks to the manufacturer's pledge to provide custom colours on request.

Despite being aesthetically different to their predecessors, the features and benefits of the new Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating products are said to remain the same.

The company said that availability of spares, accessories and replacements would not change, while any existing contracts and agreements in place with customers would be honoured and be unaffected by the brand change.

Geoff Hobbs, business development director at Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating, said: 'Despite the success of the Buderus brand since it was first launched in the UK in 2005, its association with Bosch is something we are keen to use to strengthen our offering in the UK. The Bosch name is synonymous with quality and technological innovation all over the world, so it is natural that we move in this direction in the years ahead. The closer association with Bosch is one which is sure to benefit our customers, who can rely on our products and comprehensive support services knowing they are working with a globally-established brand.

'Further expansions to the product portfolio are already planned for the future, however as with any new product introductions, we are keen to ensure these products are made available once each one is deemed right for the UK market.'
