Firefighters were called to tackle a major blaze at Airedale Air Conditioning's site in Rawdon, West Yorkshire, last Friday (6 September).
As soon as the fire was detected all staff were evacuated and there were no injuries.
The West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene and used aerial appliances, large hand held jets and ground monitors to tackle the rapidly spreading flames. At its height, 20 fire appliances and 100 firefighters battled the blaze.
Speaking at the scene, incident commander assistant chief fire officer, Dave Walton, said: 'From a West Yorkshire Fire Service perspective, this is a significant incident, involving a large factory complex.'
However, due to the fire service's early intervention, sizeable parts of the premises have been saved. Whilst the most critical areas of production have not been affected, contingency arrangements are being made for the main factory, warehouse and office operations.
Airedale is now working with the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service to identify the cause of the fire.
The company says it expects to return to normal operating conditions within a rapid timeframe and that field-based service and controls operations will be unaffected. It is still open for business to work with all of its partners in order to deliver best possible solutions. Data is secure and information systems are accessible.
Airedale managing director, Clive Parkman, said: 'We are firmly committed to our employees, customers, suppliers and local residents, and are doing everything in our power to return to normal operations as quickly as possible.
