In a joint venture with CLG Developments, Balfour Beatty has been awarded a £414 million contract by Bord Gais Networks in the Republic of Ireland.
The nine-year contract is for the installation and maintenance of vital gas transmission and distribution networks across Ireland, including the delivery of new construction, emergency response and planned maintenance services.
Ian Tyler, Balfour Beatty chief executive, commented: 'The Bord Gais award represents a significant development for our international utilities business.
