B&ES appoints national executive for Scotland and Northern Ireland

The Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES) has appointed Tom McManus as national executive for Scotland and Northern Ireland, replacing Bob Dyer, who has retired after 25 years’ service.

Mr McManus is a technology graduate from the Open University with a Higher National Certificate in mechanical engineering and business communications. He takes up his new role following four years as Scottish general manager of the Association’s subsidiary Building Engineering Services Training (BEST).

He also spent 14 years at Telford College of Arts and Technology, Edinburgh, where he progressed to the position of assistant principal.

Separately, Zanna Tweedie has been promoted to the new position of assistant national executive.
