AMTECH acquires NES software

The AMTECH group, the UK's largest building services software company, has bought NES Specification Expert (SPEX),a software tool used to create and manage specification documents.
The NES software was bought from Barbour, owned CMP Information, for an undisclosed sum.

'The NES software suite provides a perfect complement to our popular software products within both the AMTECH and Estimation brands,' said AMTECH group managing director Mark Tindall.

Compiled and maintained in association with the CIBSE and BSRIA, NES is aimed at helping individuals to produce building services specifications.

The software contains up-to-date specification clauses for use in any form of contract and time-saving tools including audit trail creation and check lists.

'We have some exciting plans to develop the product further. These include integration with other market-leading products and the introduction of powerful new technologies that are being developed within the group,' Tindall added.
