Airtech deal tackles social housing's condensation issues

Airtech Environmental Systems has formed a partnership with property care expert Timberwise, to extend its nationwide reach in order to tackle condensation and mould control in the UK social housing sector.
Cheshire-based firm Timberwise provides property care services for commercial and domestic building preservation from its branches nationwide. It deals with basement waterproofing, dry rot, rising damp and woodworm but condensation proved to be the common ground shared by Timberwise and the Somerset-based firm Airtech Environmental Systems.

The new partnership will see Airtech provide products for ventilation applications and technical training support to Timberwise staff who will sell the Airtech equipment to the private sector via its branches. Airtech will continue its focus in the UK social housing market and benefit from the nationwide spread of Timberwise branches.

The product line being offered by the new partnership includes axial fans, centrifugal and in-line fans for kitchens and bathrooms, positive pressure systems, heat recovery systems, controllers, passive and vapour vents.

“Timberwise is strong in the private sector while Airtech is well known in the social housing markets and by combining our strengths, knowledge and coverage in these areas we hope to grow both our businesses” says John Davison, managing director of Airtech.

Mark Edwards, managing director of Timberwise added, “We are looking forward to developing new business in the air quality market through this exciting partnership. In fact, we are already specifying and getting enquiries so we expect to move quickly following our formal launch.”
