Airsynergy, the innovator of cleantech products has appointed Gerry Butler as its new ceo.

He has more than 30 years of experience in international management. In his previous roles, he has successfully steered the growth and innovation of teams and businesses, whilst also achieving commercial profit targets.

Mr Butler will be responsible for introducing Airsynergy and onesynergy’s cleantech products to the global market.

Prior to joining Airsynergy, Mr Butler was ceo at HMV Ireland, where in his three years there he was able to develop business strategies which helped double its annual turnover and increased the gross margin of the business by 12 per cent. Before HMV Ireland, he was senior vice president Europe and commercial director UK at Blockbuster, where he commercially ran the UK, Ireland, Italy and Denmark operations. Here he generated over €1 billion turnover across Europe, transforming struggling markets through brand positioning and strong cost control.

He has held several other leadership positions including senior vice president and ceo at premium entertainment retailer Xtra-Vision, managing director at Sony Pictures Entertainment and managing director at PBE lrl Ltd, the sole distributor of Panasonic Office Products in Ireland.
