Adexsi acquires French fire safety product supplier

Adexsi, the smoke and natural ventilation specialist, has acquired fire safety product supplier Ateliers Boullet, as it continues to expand.

Based in Paris, Ateliers Boullet is a 10m company with 48 employees and manufactures glass fire walls, mobile fire curtains and fire doors. It will become an independent part of the global Adexsi group that produces more than 80,000 smoke ventilation and natural daylighting units every year at its three factories.

The Adexsi group includes the Souchier, Hexadome, SIA and Langethermo brands providing roof and façade ventilation systems and associated controls. It has a strong presence in the UK through its Adexsi UK subsidiary based in Cardiff. Growing export markets, particularly in the Middle East, are also being managed by the UK operation.

The group believes there are also major export opportunities for Ateliers Boullet.

Adexsi UK director Kerry Jones said: “This acquisition adds another string to our bow. The group is rapidly expanding its product offering in low energy and passive building solutions, which is a logical extension from our smoke ventilation products.”

The France-based group added that Ateliers Boullet would retain its operational independence and focus on its own development projects in line with the group’s customary approach to acquisitions.

SIA was acquired three years ago to increase Adexsi’s installation, maintenance and replacement business. It complements Souchier’s comprehensive range of smoke extraction systems, Hexadome’s skylight and natural smoke ventilation products, and Langethermo’s range of fire and heat resistant polycarbonate domes.
