£40m Eco-Homes development awarded to Hill Partnerships

Social housing landlord Genesis has awarded builder Hill Partnership a £40m+ contract to build a landmark housing development in London using renewables.
The development in Colindale, north London, will use vertical axis wind turbines and solar heating to help the site achieve an Eco-Homes rating of very good.

The Essex builder beat strong competition from Mansell, Kier, Willmott Dixon and Galliford Try.

As reported by the Construction Enquirer, architect Pollard Thomas Edwards has designed the green development which involves building 292 flats and 17 mews houses. The Zenith House scheme includes a 14-storey mixed use building alongside local community facilities, a restaurant, offices and parking.
